BJM Academy was founded in the UK in 2017 to develop elite young players.
Over seven years, it coached more than 500 players, helping twelve reach Category 1 clubs and England call-ups, with over 50 more progressing to Category 2 and 3 academies.
BJM Football Academy UAE launched in Dubai in 2025 to offer a complete player development environment. It has grown from 60 to 120 players, placed six players into Premier League and Category 1 academies, and earned an invitation to compete at the GNF World Cup in Spain.
Head Coach & Founder
Bobby James Moorton is a football coach and the founder of BJM Academy. He began studying the game at 21 and went on to build a career focused on developing elite young players through technical training, strong mentality, and a complete approach to player development.
Since founding BJM Academy in the UK in 2017, Bobby has coached more than 500 elite-level players, helping many progress into Category 1, 2, and 3 academies, as well as England youth call-ups. After moving to Dubai in 2024, he launched BJM Football Academy UAE, creating a professional development pathway for ambitious young players.
He has coached players who have gone on to join clubs such as Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. After moving to Dubai in 2024, he launched BJM Football Academy UAE, creating a complete development pathway.
Academy Coach
Ryan joins BJM Academy from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, where he spent seven seasons coaching within one of England’s most respected academy categories 1 systems.
A National Cup-winning Head of Football and experienced educator, Ryan has dedicated his career to developing young players through elite coaching, high standards, and a player-first approach.

GK Coach
Alan brings elite international experience to BJM Academy, having previously served as Head Goalkeeping Coach for the Gibraltar Football Association, where he led a team of five coaches and oversaw the national goalkeeping curriculum from U6 to senior level.
His playing career includes Leeds United, Motherwell, Crewe Alexandra, and Scotland youth and U21 teams. His coaching philosophy focuses on developing goalkeepers who lead with presence, communicate clearly, and perform under pressure.
From national team environments to UEFA goalkeeping conferences, Alan has coached and educated at the highest level, bringing a strong standard of technical development, leadership, and continuous improvement to the goalkeepers at BJM Academy.
Academy Coach
Štefan brings professional playing experience from European football directly into the development of BJM’s next generation with 80+ competitive appearances across Slovakian clubs and youth league titles on his record.
Known for the relationships he builds with his players on the pitch and beyond it — Štefan coaches with an intensity that demands the best from every individual while developing the character to handle it.
His sessions are built on repetition, technical development and tactical intelligence. Not just to improve players — but to build complete footballers who understand the game, own their development and show up with the right mentality every single time.
Academy Coach
With over 10 years of coaching experience, including 7 years within professional academy football, Anthony has coached at Manchester City, Burnley and Bolton Wanderers, developing players in high-performance environments.
Throughout his career, he has helped 70+ players progress into Category 1, 2 and 3 professional academies, earning a reputation for developing technically gifted, intelligent footballers and preparing them for the next level.

Academy Coach
Tom brings 12+ years of development experience, from Bowers & Pitsea, where he won every season from U13s to U21s, to Chelsea Football Club, where he spent almost a decade as a football coach, leading international trips to Barcelona, Malaga, Sardinia and Turkey, and heading up Chelsea’s CPD programmes.
From managing coaching staff and driving player development across multiple teams, he brings that same strategic approach to BJM — 10+ years taking players from U8s to U18s, producing a string of players who went on to secure club contracts, scholarships and professional opportunities.
His philosophy: technical excellence built on the person, not just the player.
BJM trains on Pitch 1 at HCT Active, Academic City — floodlit astro turf, full 11-a-side. The wider campus has five pitches plus a stadium and grass pitch with running track. Clubhouse and modern changing facilities currently in construction.
